April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among a few female beach volleyball players to have achieved this feat. Alix Klineman has become a brand new Olympian who will be joining her at Tokyo. Ross is hoping to secure an Olympic first gold medal but she's also hoping to win more. As she is 39, it may be her last chance. Her confidence is high nevertheless. Ross stated via NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even playing well I believe we can win the gold medal." Then I will also take the opportunity to try my chances. Ross was born in Costa Mesa, California in 1982. Her parents and sister resided in the area. While at Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many different sports. As a pre-schooler, she competed in basketball, indoor volleyball and running track. Although she was a pro at indoor volleyball, it was clear that her performance was above normal. Her college biography states that she was an outside-hitting hitter middle blocker, as well as a setter throughout her volleyball time at high school. Gatorade Circle of Champions named her the national Player in 1999. She also won an Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman might be working on a project in 2017, but Ross was an experienced volleyball player before they joined forces. Actually Ross has been a winner of several major tournaments in her career together with two other partners. One of them is a volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Ross, Kessy's fellow teammate who was the winner of the world championship with Kessy in 2009, was also a major force on world stage. The pair eventually picked up a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The legendary Misty Maytreanor team and Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. Ross played for the Trojans at USC during her college after graduating from high school. It was a successful career for Ross in the school. In 2000, as a freshman she played her way to Pac-10 and NCAA The Freshman of the Year accolades. She also was also an All-American. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans to make it to into the Final Four. During her sophomore year she was devastated by a personal setback but managed to be a second All-American. Over the course of her final two seasons she led the Trojans up the mountain and won consecutive national titles. In 2003-04, Ross was named the top female volleyball player at a collegiate level in the United States through the Honda Sports Award. Ross studied International Relations at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the chance to watch her daughter become the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross's mom Margie passed away in 2001. Ross was still an USC sophomore. She had breast cancer. As a result, Ross continues to be close to her parent who died. And Margie is an ongoing source of inspiration to her on the beaches and throughout the world of.
